Position Summary: The job duties are as follows: 1) Derive urban flash flood characteristics such as water depth and velocities for selected case studies/cities from satellite imagery 2) Understanding the environmental impacts of infrastructure projects and vice versa through remote sensing approaches 3) Development of urban geophysical fields required to run climate model simulations over domains covering various cities and their validation, including the acquisition of nighttime satellite imagery for Montreal to derive estimates of land surface temperatures for the various land surfaces and combining with in-situ sensor measurements 4) Publish research in high-standing journals 5) Present results at national and international conferences 6) Contribute to the development of proposals 7) Contribute and collaborate on MSSI-related projects and research initiatives

The candidate shall have a PhD in civil engineering and specialize in green concrete technology. The mission of this position is to advance the carbonation technology in concrete pipe production. The desired candidate will be expected to carry out experiments in the lab and conduct diffusion modelling of the chemical reaction.
